Armand, a passionate revolutionary, finds himself at odds with his sister, Marguerite, who is married to the wealthy and influential Sir Percy Blakeney. Sir Percy is secretly the daring and cunning hero known as the Scarlet Pimpernel, who rescues French aristocrats from the guillotine.
As the Reign of Terror intensifies, Armand finds himself in danger from the very revolutionaries he once supported. Marguerite, torn between her love for her brother and loyalty to her husband, must choose between saving Armand and protecting the Scarlet Pimpernel’s identity.
The novel is a gripping tale of romance, adventure, and political intrigue, and showcases Orczy’s skill in creating memorable characters and intricate plots. “Pimpernel and Rosemary” is a sequel to Orczy’s earlier novel “The Scarlet Pimpernel” and is widely considered one of her most beloved works.
